Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee organizes a conference to review the work of internal affairs, the prevention of corruption, waste, and negative behaviors, and judicial reform for the first quarter of 2025, chaired by comrade Cao Thi Hoa An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, and comrade Dao Bao Minh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission.

According to the report presented at the conference, in the first quarter of 2025, with the focused leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Body, as well as the party committees, government agencies, and relevant sectors at all levels, the tasks of internal affairs, anti-corruption, waste, negative behaviors, and judicial reform were effectively implemented. The fight against crime was strengthened, contributing to a significant reduction in social order-related crimes compared to the same period. Security and order were ensured, and traffic accidents decreased across all 3 criteria. Inspection, supervision, and auditing activities in sensitive areas those that attract public attention and are prone to corruption and negative behaviors were given special attention and actively carried out. Investigations, prosecutions, and trials achieved positive results. Citizen reception, complaint handling, and denunciation resolutions were promptly addressed by government agencies and relevant authorities. These outcomes have contributed positively to maintaining security and order in the province and effectively achieving the local socio-eco development goals and tasks.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and exchanging views on the difficulties and obstacles encountered during the implementation of their duties; simultaneously, shared solutions aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of internal affairs, anti-corruption, waste prevention, combating negative behaviors, and judicial reform in the coming time.

Addressing the conference, Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An emphasized that, in the context of the Party and the State implementing numerous strategic policies, particularly the restructuring and streamlining of the political system and administrative units, the effective implementation of internal affairs and the prevention of corruption, waste, and negative behaviors have become increasingly important. Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An called on all levels and sectors to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the directives of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on these matters.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that anti-corruption, waste prevention, and the fight against negative behaviors must be linked with the restructuring and streamlining of the organizational apparatus to ensure efficiency and effectiveness; resolutely prevent any occurrences of bribery, group interests, or the exploitation of restructuring and downsizing efforts as a means for corruption or negative behaviors. Simultaneously, it is essential to correct the mindset of procrastination, avoidance, and obstruction in task execution, as such attitudes hinder the effectiveness and efficiency of the state apparatus and adversely affect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens and businesses.

Provincial Party Secretary Cao Thi Hoa An also instructed departments and localities to strengthen coordination in detecting and handling violations; to address obstacles and unlock public investment resources, thereby avoiding losses and waste of the state budget. Cases and matters under the supervision and direction of the Central Steering Committee and the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Body must be thoroughly and decisively resolved. At the same time, strict action must be taken against officials and Party members who violate regulations, reinforcing discipline and order, and ensuring proper preparation of personnel for the Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14^th National Congress of the Party.
